How can we bring embodiment to the practice of meditation and allow our full vitality and joyful exploration be present? How can we be rooted in ourselves, while listening and open to what is calling us in the world?
The many crises in the world are demanding our attention – sickness, war and the great climate emergency that the whole world will need to face. How can we all find ways of being in the world that respect our interconnectedness, based in listening to what is needed, without being crushed by the sorrow around. Is there still room for joy and vitality?
Using improvisation and reflection we explore a way of practising that does not withdraw from the world, but allows us to be alive in the midst of sorrow and joy. We can find ways to participate and offer ourselves.
This retreat is led in English, by Jayachitta and Akasasuri, and hosted by the beautiful Metta Vihara Retreat Centre in Holland.
'Metta Vihara means abode of loving kindness. We welcome everyone who is looking for more depth or more meaning in life. Our retreat center offers a tranquil environment for tranquility, simplicity and contentment. Within walking distance is a small nature reserve De Putting – a wetland where meadow birds breed.
All are welcome, who are interested in meditation and embodied methods of practice.
Please book here, and book early, as the number of participants is limited.
