Itinerary

In dance and improvisation we can allow ourselves to playfully enter new realms and explore new ways of being.

We will explore the movement of the Five Elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space)  in our own bodies, in meditation, and in the way we relate to one another.

The elements shows us different ways of being: 

  • solid - like earth
  • flowing, always downwards - like water 
  • always rising up - like fire
  • all possibilities are open, moving in all directions, suddenly - like air
  • all of that is held in space, comes from space but never hinders space or fills it ....

How can we find freedom in this: it is not so personal, not so important, but a play of elemental forces, we are a part of.

These are themes for movement, as well as for spiritual practice: being in the unknown, allowing ourselves to know what is flowing through us more closely, and letting ourselves release all of it into space. In the course we will also chance to reflect how it relates to our life and practice, and discuss with each other.

This course is open to all, and does not need previous experience in movement or meditation. Come and join - contact me to book or with any questions.

The fee is on a sliding scale of between £60 - 140 to allow everyone to take part. Please contact me, if it is not possible for you to give that.
